On February 25, at the Guangzhou High-Quality Development Conference, it was announced that Guangzhou is set to fully open up application scenarios for autonomous driving. The city will also provide comprehensive support to GAC Group in deepening its collaboration with Huawei. Together, they aim to create Qijing, a premium intelligent new energy vehicle brand, thereby accelerating Guangzhou’s automotive industry towards “intelligent and electric transformation”. According to the outlined plan, Qijing will introduce two new models by 2026. The first model, a next-generation intelligent hunting coupe, has already completed crucial validations, including extreme cold winter testing. It demonstrates cutting-edge performance and an intelligent experience, and is anticipated to hit the market in June this year.
