On February 13th, Macquarie analysts predicted in a report that the global fleet size of robotaxis (Robotaxi) will grow significantly, increasing from approximately 7,000 vehicles in 2025 to over 500,000 by 2030, and exceeding 3 million by 2035. Analysts believe that as Robotaxi service providers gradually resolve regulatory issues and enter the traditional taxi and ride-hailing markets, the industry will experience exponential growth. Macquarie forecasts that by 2035, the global Gross Transaction Value (GTV) of Robotaxis will reach between USD 80 billion and USD 465 billion. Although the integration of Robotaxis with traditional vehicles is accelerating, the market still underestimates their long-term potential. Additionally, analysts noted that more automakers, Tier 1 automotive component suppliers, and electronics companies will enter the field in the future, which will increase the adoption of Robotaxi technology but also intensify market competition.
