On February 6, news emerged that Beijing Municipality had unveiled the "Beijing 2026 Vehicle Trade-In Subsidy Implementation Plan." This program will feature two distinct subsidy categories: "scrap-and-upgrade" and "trade-in-and-upgrade." The application portal is scheduled to open at 10:00 AM on February 9, enabling qualified car purchasers to access subsidies of up to 20,000 Yuan. The "scrap-and-upgrade" option entails disposing of an old vehicle and acquiring a new one. Purchasers of new energy passenger vehicles are eligible for a subsidy amounting to 12% of the new vehicle's purchase price, with a cap of 20,000 Yuan. Meanwhile, buyers of gasoline-powered passenger vehicles with an engine displacement of 2.0 liters or less can receive a subsidy equivalent to 10% of the new vehicle's price, not exceeding 15,000 Yuan.
