In light of recent rumors regarding layoffs, Xu Daquan from Bosch China clarified the situation by stating that, as of 2025, Bosch China is projected to maintain a workforce of around 57,000 employees. While there will be some restructuring within certain business sectors, the overall impact is expected to remain minimal. Xu emphasized that the Chinese market presents a wealth of growth opportunities, prompting Bosch to persist in augmenting its investments in the region. Given the ongoing transformation within the automotive industry, it is a common practice for a company of Bosch's scale—employing over 50,000 individuals—to fine-tune specific traditional business segments. This strategic realignment affects only a handful of departments but has unfortunately been misconstrued as widespread layoffs at Bosch, which is not the reality.
