According to a post by blogger "Please, Veteran Driver," an owner of a Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 reported that their vehicle spontaneously ignited just one hour after completing a charge. The resulting fire left the car as little more than a frame and also caused damage to a nearby express delivery tricycle and another electric vehicle. The fire department requested the manufacturer's assistance in disassembling the battery to determine the cause of the fire, but Mercedes-Benz has neither responded nor taken any action to date. Previously, several spontaneous combustion incidents have been reported in Mercedes-Benz's EQ series electric vehicles, involving models such as the EQA, EQB, EQC, and EQE. While most of these fires have been linked to battery thermal runaway, Mercedes-Benz's official explanations for the causes of these accidents and their subsequent handling have sparked public skepticism.
