On February 2, Tesla made an announcement via its official Weibo account, revealing that its third-generation humanoid robot is poised to make its debut. The company anticipates an annual production volume of up to one million units for this robot. According to sources within Tesla, the production line for the Model S/X at the Fremont factory in the United States will undergo a transformation. It will be repurposed into a production line dedicated to manufacturing humanoid robots. Mass production is scheduled to kick off before the end of 2026, with the ultimate goal of achieving an annual production capacity of one million units. It's worth noting that Tesla's humanoid robots are built using a fully self-reliant supply chain. All components are meticulously designed from scratch, adhering to fundamental principles. Consequently, the time required to ramp up to full-scale mass production is expected to be longer compared to that of automotive products.
