Several up-and-coming Chinese automakers have recently announced their vehicle delivery figures for January 2026. Using this data, a third-party organization has compiled a sales ranking. The top ten performers in terms of sales are AITO, Xiaomi, Leapmotor, Li Auto, NIO, Zeekr, Fangchengbao, eπ Tech, XPENG, and VOYAH. In January, many emerging automakers witnessed a month-on-month decline in sales. Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association, explained that this downturn was mainly due to factors including the expiration of the vehicle purchase tax exemption policy, delays in subsidy renewals for trade-ins in certain provinces and cities, and the disruption caused by the Spring Festival holiday schedule. He added that as local subsidy policies take effect and consumer purchasing power is released, the market is expected to gradually rebound.
