On January 31 (local time), the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that Toyota Motor Corporation is initiating a recall for certain 2024 - 2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid models. These vehicles are outfitted with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system, and the recall is prompted by the possibility that the rear-view camera image may fail to display properly. In total, 161,268 vehicles are impacted by this issue.

To address the problem, Toyota will provide affected vehicle owners with a complimentary update of the parking assist control unit (ECU) software.
