Following the launch and subsequent experience of NIO's Banyan 3.3.0 version by some netizens, questions arose regarding whether Huawei had been contracted to develop it. Ma Lin, the Assistant Vice President of Brand and Communication at NIO, clarified the situation by stating that while the NWM (NIO World Model) version still necessitates further optimization, NIO's assisted driving system is entirely developed in-house, with no external outsourcing to Huawei or any other entity. Moreover, NIO stands out as the pioneering domestic company to integrate world models and closed-loop reinforcement learning technology into intelligent assisted driving systems.

Recently, the Banyan 3.3.0 version has undergone a comprehensive rollout, featuring enhancements that span intelligent assisted driving and smart cockpit functionalities. This update introduces and refines over 60 features, showcasing NIO's commitment to innovation and user experience. Central to this version is the utilization of NIO's self-developed NWM intelligent driving world model, which significantly bolsters the system's spatial comprehension and reasoning abilities. Beyond these technological advancements, the update also encompasses several practical improvements. Notably, iPhone UWB (Ultra-Wideband) digital key support has been extended to encompass all NIO models, offering users greater convenience and seamless connectivity.
