On January 16th, news emerged that the Jilin Provincial Department of Commerce had declared the official launch of the subsidy application system on the Jilin Provincial Vehicle Trade-In and Upgrade Service Platform. The system is set to go live at 0:00 on January 17th, ready to accept subsidy applications for the current year.

Individual consumers who sell passenger cars registered under their own names and subsequently purchase qualifying new energy vehicles within the province are eligible for a subsidy. This subsidy amounts to 8% of the new car's selling price, capped at a maximum of 15,000 yuan. Meanwhile, those opting for fuel-powered passenger vehicles with an engine displacement of 2.0 liters or less can receive a subsidy equivalent to 6% of the new car's selling price, with the maximum subsidy capped at 13,000 yuan.

To qualify for these subsidies, applicants must fulfill several conditions, including the registration date, invoice date, and registration dates of their old vehicles. Moreover, each applicant is only entitled to one subsidy for scrapping or trading in their vehicle for an upgrade.
