As the automotive market gets underway in 2026, major automakers have been rolling out their annual sales objectives one after another, painting a vivid picture of the fierce competition within the current market. At present, more than 10 automakers, encompassing Geely, Changan, Chery, Leapmotor, and Xiaomi, have outlined specific targets. Collectively, these targets amount to over 21.55 million vehicles, making up roughly 63% of the total domestic automotive sales projected for 2025. A notable divergence emerges in the sales targets set by different automakers: traditional independent automakers are targeting a steady growth rate of 10% to 30%, with a strong emphasis on new energy vehicles and overseas market expansion. In contrast, new entrants and cross-industry brands have set their sights on ambitious growth rates ranging from 34% to 67.5%, aiming to rapidly scale up their presence. These figures not only represent automakers' forecasts of market trends but also serve as a litmus test for their product portfolios, technological capabilities, and distribution channel systems.
