Zhan Kun, a seasoned algorithm specialist in the field of autonomous driving at Li Auto, is set to take charge of the company's base model operations. His responsibilities will encompass overseeing the research and development (R&D) of the VLA (Vision-Language-Action, assuming this is a specific model term in the context) base model, as well as consolidating the relevant technology R&D teams. This move aims to bolster technical support for Li Auto's autonomous driving systems, intelligent cockpits, and potential future robotics ventures. Regarding the organizational structure, Zhan Kun will directly report to Xie Yan, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Li Auto. Under Xie Yan's guidance, Zhan Kun will continue to drive forward the R&D, engineering, and platform development of the intelligent driving VLA model. Meanwhile, Chen Wei, the incumbent head of the base model division, is rumored to be considering departing from Li Auto to embark on his own entrepreneurial journey.
