Recently, Yu Chengdong, a prominent figure at Huawei, spearheaded a delegation to Dongfeng Motor. During this visit, he engaged in comprehensive and insightful discussions with Dongfeng Motor's Chairman, Yang Qing, and other key personnel. The talks centered around the Hongmeng ecosystem and artificial intelligence (AI), areas of significant potential and mutual interest.

It's worth noting that prior to this visit, the two entities had already cemented their partnership. In May 2025, they inked a comprehensive and deepened strategic cooperation agreement. Subsequently, in September of the same year, a joint innovation lab was officially inaugurated, marking a new chapter in their collaborative efforts.

Earlier in the month, Yu Chengdong also made a trip to GAC Group. The primary focus of this visit was to deliberate on the co-construction of the Hongmeng ecosystem, further underscoring Huawei's commitment to expanding its influence in the automotive industry.

At present, the Hongmeng cockpit has undergone a significant upgrade, reaching the HarmonySpace 5 version. This advancement positions it at the forefront, leading the way into the era of Level 3 (L3) autonomous driving technology.

The cooperation between Dongfeng Motor and Huawei has been nothing short of profound. A testament to this is the fact that the first prototype vehicle of the EI-JING brand rolled off the production line on December 22, 2025. This highly anticipated vehicle is slated to make its debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2026.

Equipped with Huawei's cutting-edge Qiankun Intelligent Automotive Solution, the EI-JING vehicle is poised to become one of the most technologically sophisticated and integrated intelligent models to emerge from the collaboration between the two companies.
