China and the European Union have successfully negotiated an agreement concerning tariffs imposed on Chinese electric vehicles (EVs). Under this new arrangement, previously high tariff rates will be replaced by a price undertaking mechanism. Industry experts forecast that, from 2026 to 2028, China’s EV exports to the EU will experience an average annual growth rate of 20%.
