Porsche (China) has submitted a recall proposal to the State Administration for Market Regulation. Commencing on January 23, 2026, the company will initiate a recall of five Taycan series vehicles manufactured between October 29, 2024, and January 31, 2025. The recall stems from an issue where, in some vehicles, the wire harness beneath the front seats has not been installed according to standard procedures. Consequently, adjusting the seats could potentially damage the airbag wires. This, in turn, might lead to the unintended deployment of the front seat side airbags or result in their failure to offer adequate protection, thereby posing a safety risk. To address this concern, Porsche will empower its dealers to carry out complimentary inspections and, if required, undertake repairs to the wire harness, thereby eliminating the potential hazard.
