Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), stated today that he is optimistic about the growth expectations for new energy vehicle retail sales, projecting an increase of approximately 10%. He pointed out that the new energy vehicle market experienced rapid growth exceeding 20% in 2025, with strong growth in pure electric vehicles and significant contributions from small and micro electric vehicles. However, considering the impact of next year's vehicle purchase tax policies and trade-in subsidy policies, the growth rate of small and micro electric vehicles is expected to slow down significantly, thereby affecting the retail growth of new energy vehicles in the domestic market.
