On January 6, 2026, NIO celebrated a significant milestone as its 1 millionth mass-produced vehicle rolled off the assembly line at the NIO Advanced Manufacturing Xinqiao No.2 Factory, located in Hefei, Anhui Province. During the milestone event, Li Bin, the founder, chairman, and CEO of NIO, shared that the company anticipates sustaining an annual sales growth rate between 40% and 50% moving forward. Furthermore, he outlined NIO's ambition to deploy over 10,000 battery swap stations by the year 2030. In a gesture of support for scientific advancement, NIO also donated its 1 millionth mass-produced vehicle, the brand-new ES8 model, to the Anhui Mozi Quantum Science and Technology Foundation, aiming to bolster cutting-edge technology research efforts within China.
