Commencing from January 1, 2026, BMW in China is set to modify the recommended retail prices for a number of its key models. Notably, certain models will witness price reductions surpassing 300,000 yuan. This price adjustment encompasses both high-end flagship and entry-level models, with the cuts generally exceeding 10%. For instance, the i7 M70L has undergone a price reduction of 301,000 yuan, whereas the iX1 eDrive25L has seen its price slashed by 24%. BMW characterizes this price modification as a 'systematic value enhancement,' an integral part of its 'In China, For China' strategic approach. This strategy is designed to bolster brand loyalty and competitiveness. Such a move not only lowers the entry barrier for consumers to acquire vehicles but is also poised to redefine the competitive landscape of the domestic luxury car market, thereby influencing the market standing of the three German luxury automotive brands.
