Data from the Qichacha APP reveals fresh developments in the reputation rights dispute between Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and a Ms. Zhang. According to the records, Tesla has applied for and succeeded in imposing consumption restrictions on Ms. Zhang. The case details show that in August of this year, Ms. Zhang was ordered by the court to pay Tesla roughly 172,300 yuan in damages. This Ms. Zhang is the same individual who previously gained notoriety for standing atop a Tesla vehicle to protest and defend her rights.

In April 2021, during the Shanghai Auto Show, Ms. Zhang made headlines when she stood on the roof of a Tesla car at the Tesla booth, wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the words "brake failure." Her act of protest drew widespread media attention and public scrutiny. Shortly after, Tesla initiated legal proceedings against Ms. Zhang, alleging that her actions infringed upon the company's reputation rights. Following a series of court hearings, the verdict was delivered, mandating Ms. Zhang to pay Tesla approximately 172,300 yuan in compensation and to issue a public apology.
