On December 23, Harman International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, made an official announcement revealing that it had entered into a binding agreement to purchase the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) division of Germany's ZF Group at a cost of €1.5 billion (roughly equivalent to US$1.8 billion). As stipulated in the agreement, once the deal is finalized, around 3,750 ZF employees across Europe, the Americas, and Asia will transition to Harman International. The acquisition is projected to reach completion in the latter half of 2026, though the precise timeline will hinge on the progress of obtaining regulatory approvals.
