On December 12, Beijing Automobile Works (BAIC Manufacturing) and Harbin Dongan Auto Engine Co., Ltd. (Dongan Power) inked a strategic cooperation pact and jointly inaugurated the "New Power Joint Innovation Laboratory". BAIC Manufacturing boasts iconic off-road vehicle models like the 212, whereas Dongan Power stands as a renowned domestic powertrain supplier. The two entities have embarked on over a dozen collaborative projects, with cumulative sales of jointly developed vehicle models surpassing 50,000 units. Looking ahead, both parties will leverage the joint laboratory to concentrate on boosting off-road prowess and integrating new energy technologies, engaging in collaborative R&D efforts for the next-generation off-road vehicle powertrain. Presently, the project has reached a pivotal phase of tackling key challenges and is poised for technological breakthroughs.
