As reported by CCTV News, on December 15, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology declared its approval for the market entry of China's inaugural batch of L3-level conditionally autonomous driving vehicle models. These two models are specifically designed to cater to urban traffic congestion scenarios and highway driving conditions, respectively. They are poised to embark on pilot road tests within designated zones in Beijing and Chongqing. This development signifies a pivotal advancement for China's L3-level autonomous driving technology, as it formally progresses from the testing stage to commercial deployment.
