The Spanish automotive brand Santana, established in the 1950s, enjoyed considerable renown overseas. In 1958, Santana was authorized to produce Land Rover vehicles and began manufacturing Suzuki Jimny models from 1986. In the 1980s, Santana started to produce cars independently, and its off-road vehicles even secured military orders. However, in 2011, due to poor sales, Santana faced a financial crisis and ceased production.
