On December 6, Autobusiness Review reported that the first all - electric sedan born out of the collaboration between Volkswagen and XPENG, dubbed the ZHI 07, is slated for an official launch in Anhui on December 31. This vehicle is constructed on Volkswagen's CEA (which stands for a specialized electronic and electrical architecture tailored for the Chinese market). The entire development journey of this car was spearheaded by a Chinese team, and remarkably, it was completed in a mere 18 months. In terms of its physical dimensions, the car measures 4853×1852×1566mm, with a wheelbase of 2826mm, placing it firmly in the mid - size sedan segment. It comes equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack sourced from Guoxuan High - Tech and is powered by a single 170kW motor.
