This morning (December 6, 2025), a Hello autonomous ride-hailing vehicle struck two individuals at a zebra crossing on a street in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, with one person being run over by the vehicle. Compassionate bystanders in the area banded together to lift the vehicle in an effort to rescue the victim. The reporter obtained information from the Hunan Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital indicating that the injured, a man and a woman, are presently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Hello Autonomous Driving's customer service team confirmed receipt of the relevant information and stated that they are actively collaborating with the pertinent authorities to address the situation. The Traffic Police Brigade of Lusong District reported that the accident is currently under investigation and being handled accordingly.
