On December 5, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that Ford is set to recall 108,762 vehicles across the United States. The reason for this recall is that the liftgate hinge covers on these vehicles are not securely fastened and may become detached. Moreover, Ford will also be recalling approximately 12,000 Lincoln MKT models produced between the 2016 and 2019 model years. This is because the B-pillar door trim for both the driver's and front passenger's sides in these vehicles has the potential to detach, thereby elevating the risk of a collision.
