Li Auto's CEO, Li Xiang, has, for the first time, addressed inquiries regarding the company's entry into the smart glasses market and shed light on the naming rationale behind the AI glasses, dubbed "Livis."
The Li Auto team embarked on research into smart glasses two years prior, driven by dissatisfaction with the current offerings on the market and a vision for "Li Xiang Assistant" to engage more directly with the physical world. As a result, the project was formally initiated in 2024.
The moniker "Livis" takes its cue from Jarvis, the AI butler featured in "Iron Man." The Li Auto AI glasses are hailed as "Li Auto's premier AI accessory," designed to seamlessly integrate the capabilities of "Li Xiang Assistant" into users' everyday routines.
Earlier, Li Auto had announced that the Livis launch event would take place at 19:30 on December 3rd. Moreover, Li Xiang divulged that the company is contemplating the introduction of an Li Auto AI speaker, with the aim of constructing a holistic AI ecosystem.
