BAIC Group recently released a statement declaring that it has secured a favorable first-instance verdict from the People’s Court in an unfair competition lawsuit filed against a particular automotive company. The court ruled that the company’s utilization of “BAIC” and logos incorporating “BAIC” amounted to unfair competition practices. Consequently, the court mandated the company to promptly discontinue the use of any corporate abbreviation that includes “BAIC,” to publish a public statement in the newspaper to mitigate any adverse impacts, and to compensate BAIC Group for the economic losses incurred as well as the reasonable expenses associated with upholding its rights.
