According to the "2025 Smart Electric Vehicle Energy Replenishment Ecosystem Index" released by a renowned global consulting firm, a staggering 99% of Chinese pure electric vehicle (EV) users intend to repurchase an EV for their next vehicle. This compelling data is drawn from primary research and a comprehensive survey of 12,000 respondents worldwide, conducted in the second quarter of 2025.
Between 2023 and 2024, the global sales penetration rate of pure EVs surged from 20% to 25%. In contrast, China's rate soared from 36% to an impressive 49%, cementing its position as the global leader in EV adoption. This remarkable growth can be attributed to the expanding fleet of pure EVs on the road and the rapid development of energy replenishment infrastructure.
When it comes to selecting EVs, "environmental friendliness" emerges as the top priority for consumers globally. Meanwhile, "cost-effectiveness" has emerged as a pivotal factor, particularly in the Asia-Pacific and North American regions. Impressively, 80% of EV users clock over 10,000 kilometers annually, and 74% utilize their vehicles at least four days a week, underscoring the practicality and reliability of EVs in everyday life.
On a global scale, 85% of EV users have the convenience of recharging at home. However, nearly half of all recharging activities take place outside their residences, with shopping centers emerging as the most popular public recharging destination. This trend highlights the growing importance of accessible and convenient public recharging stations in promoting EV adoption.
