On September 25, 2025, Meituan's latest-generation self-driving mini truck, known as the Meituan Self-Driving Mini Cargo, was officially unveiled at the 19th China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Supply Chain Expo. The vehicle has also obtained approval to participate in Shenzhen's pilot program for cross-district, interconnected operations of unmanned urban delivery services. This program encompasses key districts including Longhua, Pingshan, Nanshan, Bao'an, and Longgang.

Engineered to achieve speeds of up to 71 kilometers per hour and boasting a cargo compartment volume of 1,840 liters, this new model is adept at managing orders spanning distances of 30 kilometers or more. This capability significantly enhances the delivery range compared to its predecessor, which was primarily designed for short-haul deliveries within the 3 to 5 kilometer range.

The vehicle is outfitted with state-of-the-art automotive-grade autonomous driving sensor suites. These advanced sensors provide 360-degree, blind-spot-free perception, enabling the vehicle to adeptly navigate through complex driving scenarios. Earlier, at the end of August, Meituan's self-driving vehicles had already initiated L4 autonomous driving tests in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The company has ambitious plans to extend these tests to both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates by the close of 2025. This move signifies a pivotal new phase in Meituan's global expansion, particularly in terms of its technological prowess and commercialization endeavors.
