Today, at precisely 15:56, the sixth orbital plane of the Geely satellite constellation was successfully launched from a site near Rizhao, Shandong Province, utilizing a single launch vehicle carrying 12 satellites. This launch represents the third networking mission accomplished within the past two months.

Independently designed and developed by Stellar Explorer, the Geely constellation is on track to finalize the first phase of its networking through six launches scheduled from 2022 to 2025. Upon completion, the number of satellites in orbit will expand to 64, enabling comprehensive global real-time communication coverage, with the exception of the North and South Poles. The network and all satellites in orbit will operate with 100% reliability. The constellation is capable of providing real-time satellite communication coverage with 1 to 2 satellite layers in regions between 60° north and south latitudes. It boasts an impressive communication capacity of 340 million interactions per day and exhibits robust anti-interference capabilities.

Looking ahead, once all 72 satellites are deployed, the constellation will achieve real-time coverage with 3 to 4 satellite layers. Following the completion of the first phase of networking, Stellar Explorer is poised to offer commercial satellite IoT communication services on a global scale.
