The British automotive manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) recently announced that the production interruptions at its UK - based factories, which were triggered by a cyberattack, are set to persist until September 24th. This means that operations have been on hold for more than three consecutive weeks. In early September, the company promptly shut down its systems as a precautionary measure to contain the cyberattack. At present, it is in the midst of a gradual restoration of its global systems. However, this restoration process is far from being fully completed. The cyberattack incident has dealt a severe blow to Jaguar Land Rover's retail and production activities.
