Court orders released on Tuesday disclosed that Tesla has entered into a confidentiality agreement to settle a lawsuit arising from a 2019 car accident in California, which tragically claimed the life of a teenager. The car involved in the incident was a Model 3 outfitted with Tesla's sophisticated Autopilot advanced driver assistance system. Interestingly, merely a few weeks prior, a jury in Florida had determined that Tesla was liable to pay $243 million in compensation to the families affected by another fatal 2019 accident, this time involving a Model S also equipped with the Autopilot feature.
