As per the analysis conducted by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in August 2025, the production and sales of new energy vehicles witnessed remarkable growth, exceeding 25% both year-on-year and month-on-month, indicating a swift upward trajectory. To be more precise, during that particular month, the production volume of new energy vehicles hit 1.391 million units, while the sales volume reached 1.395 million units. These figures represent year-on-year growth rates of 27.4% and 26.8%, respectively. Looking at the cumulative data from January to August 2025, the production of new energy vehicles totaled 9.625 million units, and the sales amounted to 9.62 million units. These cumulative figures also demonstrate significant year-on-year increases, with production rising by 37.3% and sales by 36.7%.
