On September 15, 2025, Toyota Motor Corporation made an official announcement regarding the launch of its electric vehicle, the e-Palette. This innovative vehicle boasts a highly adaptable design. Its interior features a roomy cabin and transparent windows, enabling it to function not only as a means of transportation but also as a mobile store or service hub, thanks to its customizable configurations. At present, the e-Palette is operated by a driver, with the system taking on partial control. Toyota has set its sights on integrating L4 autonomous driving technology into the vehicle around the fiscal year 2027. The company intends to deploy the e-Palette in the regions around Tokyo Stadium and Woven City. There, it will provide shuttle services and mobile retail options, with the expectation of attracting purchases from both businesses and local governments.
