On September 13, Geng Hongzhou, a first-tier inspector from the Department of Market Operation and Consumption Promotion at the Ministry of Commerce, announced at the 2025 China Automotive Industry Development (TEDA) International Forum that the Ministry of Commerce is vigorously pushing forward the vehicle "trade-in" policy. By implementing strategies such as enhancing platform capabilities and leveraging data analytics, the ministry ensures that subsidy funds are swiftly and directly disbursed to consumers. As of September 10, the number of applications submitted for the vehicle "trade-in" program this year has soared to 8.3 million.
