On September 11, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) unveiled the production and sales figures for the automotive sector in August. The data reveals that auto production in August soared to 2.815 million units, while sales climbed to 2.857 million units. This translates to month-on-month growth of 8.7% and 10.1%, along with year-on-year (YoY) increases of 13% and 16.4%, respectively. From January to August, the cumulative auto production stood at 21.051 million units, and sales reached 21.128 million units, exhibiting YoY growth of 12.7% and 12.6%, respectively. Notably, the production growth rate remained consistent with that recorded from January to July, whereas the sales growth rate experienced a 0.6 percentage point uptick.
