Retail sales, exports, wholesale volumes, and production figures for manufacturers all soared to record levels, with new energy vehicle (NEV) exports marking a historic peak.
From January to July 2025, domestic retail sales of passenger vehicles demonstrated robust performance, achieving a cumulative year-on-year growth of 10%. However, the growth rate slightly eased to 9.5% for the period spanning January to August, reflecting a gradual month-on-month decline of 1 percentage point in both July and August. The automotive market exhibited a distinct trajectory, characterized by a sluggish start, a mid-year surge, and a stabilized finish.
