Dongfang Electric Corporation has recently achieved a significant milestone with the successful installation of its self-developed 26-megawatt offshore wind turbine at the Dongying Wind Power Equipment Testing and Certification Innovation Base. This accomplishment sets a new world record for both unit capacity and rotor diameter, signifying a remarkable advancement in China's high-end equipment manufacturing sector. The turbine boasts over 30,000 self-controlled components, showcasing cutting-edge technology in its core components, high power generation efficiency, and a rotor swept area equivalent to that of 10.5 football fields.

Equipped with advanced technology and a fully domestically produced electronic control system, this turbine is capable of withstanding typhoons up to Category 17. It is designed to generate up to 100 million kWh of electricity annually, meeting the electricity needs of approximately 55,000 households, further underscoring its robust capabilities and potential impact on renewable energy production.
