Stellantis (Shanghai) Automobile Co., Ltd. has submitted a recall plan to the State Administration for Market Regulation, announcing the recall of 22,870 imported Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio vehicles manufactured between January 19, 2017, and September 30, 2024. The recall stems from a software flaw in the engine control module of certain vehicles, which prevents the fuel evaporation leak fault code from being properly cleared post-repair, potentially leading to unreasonable emissions. To mitigate this risk, the company will offer a complimentary update to the engine control module software for the affected vehicles.
