Lixiang Auto has recently unveiled a safety evaluation video showcasing a head-on collision between its i8 SUV and an 8-ton heavy truck. The video depicts the Lixiang i8 SUV lifting the heavy truck into the air, causing the truck's cab to dislocate, which has sparked intense online debates. Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. has challenged the authenticity of the video, declaring it to be fake and issuing a statement that this act constitutes a grave infringement. In response, Lixiang Auto asserts that the test is a realistic simulation of user traffic scenarios, entirely entrusted to a third-party testing agency. The testing truck was provided by the agency, and Lixiang Auto did not specify any conditions for the test.
