Chen Xi, the Design Director of OPPO's ColorOS, has recently refuted the speculation that ColorOS 16 will adopt a 3D glass stereoscopic design. He clarified that the circulating images are purely artistic renderings and do not reflect the actual interface design of the upcoming system. Chen Xi further disclosed that the design of the system icons has been finalized and emphasized that ColorOS 16 will not mimic the design of iOS 26, but rather prioritize the quality and stability of the overall user experience. Moreover, amidst reports that major smartphone manufacturers will commence internal beta testing for their next-generation systems by the end of August, Chen Xi took to Weibo to announce that ColorOS 16 is in active preparation and will soon commence community recruitment for beta testing.
