Bloomberg reports that Apple's relocation of iPhone assembly operations to India has propelled India to surpass China as the leading supplier of smartphones to the United States. Research firm Canalys' data reveals that as of the second quarter of this year, India captured a 44% share of the US smartphone market, securing the top spot for the first time. Vietnam, primarily due to Samsung Electronics' production hub, came in second with a 30% share, while China slipped to third place. This transformation underscores the ongoing global restructuring within the smartphone production supply chain.
