Anker Innovation has recently announced a recall of select mobile power banks due to spontaneous combustion risks and has dispatched specialized fireproof protective bags to users. To date, approximately 200,000 users have registered for the recall, with over 100,000 fireproof bags already distributed. However, owing to the non-cooperation of certain express delivery franchisees, some users are encountering difficulties in returning the affected products. Consequently, Anker Innovation has reinstated a destruction plan involving submerging the power banks in saltwater. Officials assure that a 24-hour soak effectively depletes the battery, thereby mitigating potential safety hazards.
