Google has recently unveiled the launch of its 'Registered App Store Program', which opens the door for eligible third-party Android app stores to submit their registration applications. Once these applications gain approval, the app stores will enjoy system-level support, including features like one-click app installation and automatic background updates. This will streamline the app download process for users from third-party stores. The application channel for this program is now accessible, and the simplified installation process will commence its rollout on December 1. Initially, this will be available in select regions outside the United States, with the prerequisite that devices must be running on Android 17 QPR2 or later versions.
