On October 27, Apple rolled out the official version of iOS 27.2, featuring built-in support for blocking 'shake-to-skip' ad transitions. For Chinese users, this means they can now add specific apps to the motion data restriction list under 'Privacy & Security — Motion & Fitness' in their system settings. This action prevents these apps from accessing data such as accelerometer and gyroscope readings, thereby avoiding unintended ad transitions triggered by shaking. However, it's worth noting that some apps may still display splash screen ads. On the same day, Apple also made an announcement regarding its inaugural foldable phone, the iPhone Duo. This device supports the Apple Pencil stylus, but compatibility is limited to separately sold designated models, with other models not being compatible. To pair the Apple Pencil with the iPhone Duo, users are required to connect the two devices using a USB-C charging cable.
