Renowned tech blogger Digital Chat Station has disclosed that, during the 42nd week of 2026, the cumulative activation volume of the Honor Magic9 series soared to 390,000 units. This impressive figure has propelled the series to the forefront of this year's Android flagship activation rankings, outpacing its rivals. Previously, the series' forerunner, the Magic8, fell short of market expectations. However, the latest iteration has managed to turn the tide. Guan Haitao, Honor's Vice President of Marketing, reposted relevant content to validate this achievement.
The Honor Magic9 series made its debut on September 28 and comprises three distinct models: the Magic9 Pro Max, Magic9, and Magic9 Ultra Edition. Each model is tailored to a specific user group—professional imaging creators, small-screen flagship enthusiasts, and high-performance users, respectively—and offers a range of configurations to cater to diverse needs. The series places a strong emphasis on imaging capabilities. Both the Magic9 Pro Max and Magic9 are equipped with dual 200-megapixel imaging systems. In particular, the Magic9 Pro Max has joined forces with the professional imaging brand ARRI to refine its color calibration, ensuring exceptional image quality.
When it comes to battery life, the three models are outfitted with batteries of varying capacities: 8,800mAh for the Magic9, 8,000mAh for the Magic9 Pro Max, and a substantial 11,000mAh for the Ultra Edition. The Ultra Edition also features an active cooling design, enabling it to adapt seamlessly to a wide array of usage scenarios and ensuring optimal performance at all times.
