Jeff Fisher, Senior Vice President of NVIDIA's Personal Computing Business, explicitly denied rumors of the RTX 5090's discontinuation at an event. He stated that the RTX 5090 remains a core product for NVIDIA and will continue to be supplied, with current limitations stemming from supply chain capacity constraints. NVIDIA is actively working to bring the product to market. Previously, there were reports that NVIDIA would stop allocating GB202 chips for the RTX 50 series gaming graphics cards, instead supplying them for RTX PRO professional cards, and might introduce a 24GB VRAM version of the RTX 5080 to fill the gap in high-end gaming graphics cards. Additionally, recent shortages of the RTX 5090 in some retail channels, with some even marked as no longer available for sale, had fueled speculation about its discontinuation. Fisher also emphasized the importance of the gaming business to NVIDIA, noting that GeForce has driven the development of CUDA and laid the foundation for the computational power in today's AI market.
