Apple's inaugural foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, is set to hit the shelves officially on October 23. Multiple Apple retail employees have disclosed that the company has issued directives to its stores, urging them to caution customers against showing up at physical stores on the launch day without having placed a pre-order beforehand. Shortly after the pre-sale phase commenced at 8 p.m. on October 16, both the Apple official website and its dedicated App were swamped with traffic, leading to immediate overload. Similarly, the flagship stores on various e-commerce platforms encountered significant delays, with the entire first batch of pre-ordered units being snapped up within mere seconds. As of now, the estimated delivery date for pre-orders has been extended all the way to January 22 of the following year.
