Several overseas users have reported that Acer’s newly released Googlebook 14 laptop has been plagued by an endless restart issue during system updates, effectively rendering the device inoperable. This problem is specific to this particular model, and despite Google’s official emergency low-level fix, the issue remains unresolved. The product was unveiled on September 21 and officially launched on October 4. However, within just a week of its release, a surge of complaints emerged. At least four users on the Reddit platform have shared similar experiences, with some affected consumers choosing to return the product and opt for comparable devices from other brands instead. The issue predominantly arises during the initial setup of the device. After connecting an Android smartphone to the laptop, the system prompts the user to install updates. Following this, the computer becomes trapped in an endless restart cycle, alternating between the Acer logo and the update prompt screen. Some users have reported that their devices have been stuck in this loop for as long as an hour, with the installation process failing to reach completion.
